Common questions

What families usually ask

If your question isn’t here, just ask. No question is too small when it comes to care.

What does home care involve?

Support at home through the day. See what home care includes.

Is home care right for my parent?

It often suits people who want to stay at home but need support through the day, or who should not be left alone for long. If you are not sure, describe the situation and you will get an honest answer.

How should we prepare the home?

Practical arrangements are agreed together before care begins: access to the home, which areas will be used and how you will keep in touch. If needs change, the arrangement is discussed again.

What if the carer is ill or on holiday?

Love and Harmony Care is one self-employed carer, not an agency, so cover for holidays or illness is arranged by the family. This is discussed and planned before care begins.

How will we stay informed?

Updates come by phone or WhatsApp. How and how often you receive them is agreed with each family. Information is only shared with the family members the person receiving care is happy to include.

How much does it cost?

Fees depend on the level of care needed. Get in touch for a quote.

Which areas do you cover?

London and surrounding areas. If you are a little further away, please ask anyway; let’s talk about whether it is possible.

How do we talk to our parent about care?

If you can, talk with them first about what they find hard and what help they would accept. Involving them from the start helps care feel like their choice. You are welcome to call before that conversation; knowing how home care works often makes it easier to raise the subject.
